Walleye Definition Shirt - Marble-Eyed Phantom

The story behind the design

A vintage scientific illustration of Sander vitreus, formally known to the academic community and informally known to every frustrated angler as the marble-eyed phantom - a creature that strikes at dusk, disappears at dawn, and leaves you questioning your own sanity. The mock dictionary definition says everything that years of fishless nights never could.

You know the guy who has a specific rod for walleye, a tackle box organized by moon phase, and an opinion about every body of water within a hundred miles. He has told the dusk story so many times the family finishes his sentences. This shirt gets it.

Grab it for Father's Day, his birthday, or honestly just because he came home empty-handed again and deserves something to show for the effort. It works as a standalone joke and a badge of honor - sometimes at the same time.

Care instructions

🧺 Washing Instructions

How to Keep Your Shirt Outlasting Your Stories:

Machine wash warm (max 40°C/105°F) - because cold water is for the fish, not your laundry
Turn inside out before washing - protect that graphic so it lasts through years of "I swear it happened" moments
Use gentle detergent - this preshrunk ring-spun cotton is chill, keep it that way
First wash might bleed a little - separate it from your fancy stuff (we're not responsible for your white dress shirts turning into tie-dye)
Tumble dry low or hang dry - air drying means more time to practice your fish stories

🌡️ Drying Instructions:

Avoid High Heat: Low heat is your friend. High heat shrinks shirts faster than your credibility after someone pulls up photographic evidence.
Tumble Dry Low (Optional): If using a dryer, keep it on low or delicate setting.
Remove Promptly: Take it out as soon as it's dry to avoid wrinkles—unlike your fishing tales, your shirt should look crisp.

💡 Additional Tips:

Don't use bleach - harsh chemicals fade colors faster than your memory of what actually happened
Skip fabric softeners - they mess with the shirt's texture (and we like our texture how we like our stories: authentic)
Don't iron directly on the design - if you must iron, turn it inside out or use a pressing cloth. Low heat only, because melted graphics tell no tales.
